What You'll Need

• Completed Medical Questionnaire
• Personal Dive Gear: Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Exposure Protection (Wetsuit or Rashguard), Surface Marker Buoy (SMB or DSMB)
• Swimsuit, Towel, Sunscreen

The Open Water Course is the beginning point for your underwater adventures! Once you've completed this course, you will be able to purchase or rent dive gear, get tanks filled, book dives, and dive anywhere in the world with a partner.

Our classes are limited to no more than 4 students, making them comparable to "semi-private" courses that are offered elsewhere. This ensures that each student receives the highest level of instruction and makes for a much more enjoyable experience than larger classes.

COURSE STRUCTURE

Day 1: Academic Review

Day 2: Confined Water (pool) session

Day 3: Open Water Dives 1 & 2

Day 4: Open Water Dives 3 & 4

Section 1: eLearning

Complete the eLearning at home, learning the basics of Scuba including the effects of pressure, how to use Scuba equipment, proper dive planning and more. Your study material is completed online at your own pace and will continue to be available to you for future referral with no additional cost. The first night of the class is an academic review. You will need to complete the entire course prior to starting your in-water training.

Section 2: Confined Water Training

During your confined water session you'll learn all of the skills necessary to safely enjoy scuba diving, including assembling your gear, safely entering/exiting the water, mask clearing, hovering, and other skills that will prepare you to dive in a variety of of dive environments.

Section 3 & 4: Open Water Dives

By this point, you will be ready to start your training dives in open water. Over the course of 4 training dives in 2 days, you will demonstrate your proficiency in applying the things you've learned in real life conditions. After you've done that, you'll be ready to receive your certification!
